Pinkfresh Studio December 2021 Stamp, Die, Stencil, and Hot Foil Release

Hi guys! Today I am super excited to celebrate the last release of 2021 from Pinkfresh Studio with a blog hop! The rest of the design team and friends of Pinkfresh have really knocked this release out of the park!

For my projects I have used lots and lots of the gorgeous In The Meadow Washi tape. Oh and the coordinating In The Meadow diecut and In The Meadow stamp set.

It’s such a gorgeous washi, and once I got on a roll with it, I couldn’t stop. Get it? On a roll? *snickers at my own pun* I also made a YOUTUBE VIDEO, showing the entire release and all the projects I made!

I rolled out the washi tape onto wide strips of sturdy card stock, I used 110lb Neenah card stock for this, and then used the coordinating diecut to cut out all the pieces. The coordinating diecut is absolutely genius as it’s all one piece, all you have to do is line it up and it cuts out everything in one go. Same with the coordinating stamp set, so freaking genius!

Once you have your pieces cut out, and why not do a big bunch while you are on a roll? *snickers again, it’s a solid pun* Keep the rest of the pieces in a little storage pocket, either from Avery Elle or the slimline pouches from Picket Fence Studios, and pop that into your Extra Large storage pocket that works a treat for keeping all your coordinating goodies together.

On this slimline card I have used another new fun goodie: The Blanket Stitch Slimline and Mini Slimline Rectangles diecuts. You get the Pinkfresh regular slimline AND mini slimline diecuts in one, and they both have that lovely blanket stitched detail around the edges.

The card is finished off with a sentiment from the Always Uplifting stamp set, and a hot foiled Celebrate that’s cut out with the coordinating diecut.

On the first card I used the slimline size and on the next one I used the mini slimline size, of the Blanket Stitched Slimline Rectangles.

I also heat embossed the sentiment from the In The Meadow stamp set, in Rich Gold from WOW! Embossing. Before stamping up the sentiment I used the new Cottontail Embossing Tool all over the panel, this is a super-duper new anti-static tool from The Rabbit Hole Design, that contains Kaolin clay, rather than baby powder (which I can not stand the smell of, yuk)

The In The Meadow flowers are then arranged around the sentiment, and with that this mini slimline card was done. It really is so quick and easy to make a beautiful card fast with these washi tapes!

Next up, I made a couple of A2/5.5″x4.25″ cards, because I had to make all the sizes, basically.

For this card I used only the big pieces, but one of them I trimmed down to fill out the flower meadow. These pieces are arranged on a slightly smaller piece of white card stock, which is then adhered to the card base with foam tape for some dimension.

To finish off this card I used the Love from the Brushed Sentiment hot foil set. I did it in Rose Gold foil and then cut it out using the coordinating die.

I couldn’t resist adding the new Sparkling Champagne Metallic Pearls, because they are gorgeous! I love them (surprise, surprise)

I used them on my second A2 card as well, because well, I couldn’t put them away. On this card I adhered the In The Meadow pieces from the top, for another look.

This card is done in a similar way, only I didn’t use foam tape for the background piece. On this one I used the foam tape behind the flower pieces instead. I also used the new Heart Grid Hot Foil plate, again with Rose Gold foil.

The sentiment is from the In The Meadow stamp set, and I stamped it up with Black Hybrid ink on a banner that I cut out with the Essentials Slim Stripe diecuts.

Of course I had to use the Sparkling Champagne Metallic Pearls on this one too.

As I had so many flower bits left over, I decided to make a little tag too!

This is the Foldable Shaker Tag, and it’s so clever as you can get two tags out of one diecut. I added a little bit of Key Lime ink by blending it super softly, and then placing the flowers onto the tag.

It’s finished off with a Happy Holidays diecut sentiment, from the Holiday Circle Frames set and a few Sparkling Champagne Metallic Pearls.

That’s it from me for today, but don’t forget to hop along with the rest of the design team and the guests, as there is so much inspiration! Unfortunately I can’t get the InLinkz thingy to work, but the next stop is the amazing Heather Hoffman.

Alex Syberia Copic Coloured Slim Line Card with Gold Accents

Hi guys!

Today’s post is all about this slim line card, and lots and LOTS of copic colouring. The Fabulous Floral Slimline Panel from Alex Syberia Designs has become a bit of a fave with me, I love those big florals and think it’s just fab.

I’ve gone for a deep fuchsia/dark pink colour scheme this time. It’s quite dramatic and I’ve seen lots of colour combos used for this, just check out the rest of the design team for inspiration.

The Copics I’ve used are all lined up in the photo but just in case you can’t see it it’s, from darkest to lightest, RV69, RV66, RV19, RV17, RV55, R83 and R81.

I’ve gone in a flicking motion for most of the flowers, but did blend a bit to get those colours smooth. At the end, I did go in with more of the darkest colours to bring back more of a contrast in the middle.

When I had finished the colouring I fussy cut the flowers out, because I wanted to have a different background for the card, rather than a coloured one.

On a slim line card base, I added Gold String washi tape from Altenew and wrapped it around the edges to keep it clean looking. The washi tape wasn’t wide enough to go across the entire panel, so I had to use two pieces, however the gaps will be covered up by the flowers.

To finish off the card I heat embossed a sentiment from the Pure Magic stamp set from Ellen Hutson, in Rich Gold embossing powder from WOW! Embossing, on black card stock. I used my anti-static tool on the card stock first, to avoid stray powder getting where I didn’t want it, then stamped it up with WOW! Embossing ink. Once this was set with the heat tool, I trimmed it down and adhered it to the card. It needed a little something else so I also added a ‘love’ diecut and some matte gold sequins.

With that, I’m all done for today but I hope you like the card! I have used some compensated affiliate links in this post, at no extra cost to you, as well as a link to the digi stamp used, for your convenience. If you shop using any of the links that are affiliate links, I get a small commission from the company directly, as a thank you for directing you to them. This does not cost you a penny extra at all, and any earnings I get from these go directly back into the running of my blog, YouTube channel and Instagram.

Lots of love and happy crafting from Erica

Altenew Gold Stripe Washi tape cards

Hi friends!

Today I have two quick cards made with some Altenew goodies. The reason they are quick is thanks to the washi tape I have used on the background. Slap some of that on a piece of card stock and bam, background done! There is a great offer from Altenew on their washi tape range from today until tomorrow, see details below.

Let’s get to the cards, shall we?

On two pieces of card stock, I ran the Gold String washi tape along the bottom of both. This one you can get on its own or in a bundle with some other fabulous designs.

Then I placed them close to each other but still with enough of a gap so I could cut them apart and leave a bit of tape to wrap around the card stock.

Turning them over, I folded the washi around the edges. To make the corners tidy, I also trimmed down some of the excess before folding it over.

In the space of a few minutes, the backgrounds were done! So easy and handy for those times when you need a card, like yesterday.

Sentiment wise I decided to stamp up two different ones, one is a birthday and one is a congratulations. These are from the Mega Succulent stamp. On 1 inch wide strips of black card stock, this is Black Licorice from Lawn Fawn, I heat embossed them in Antique Gold embossing powder. Of course I used an anti-static tool on the card stock first and then stamped them with VersaMark ink.

At first I thought that would be enough but it did need a little something else. The answer was some black and gold leaves cut out using one of the dies from the Hibiscus Garden 3D set. The gold card stock is Honey Gold from Tonic Studios, it’s a lovely satin finish mirror card stock.

With my sentiment strips and leaves in hand, I started layering these up. I tried mixing and matching the black and gold but that wasn’t working out the way I pictured it in my head. To avoid a total over-thinking meltdown, I went the simple route of keeping one black..

And the other one with the gold.

These cards took me less than half an hour to put together, and that’s with all the faffing back and forth with black or gold only vs mixing them up.

To make sure they were a bit more different than just the gold or black, I also turned one of the panels upside down to move the sentiment strip.

Well, that’s it from me for today. Super quick and easy cards and short-ish blog post! Whoop whoop!

I have used compensated affiliate links in the post, so if you shop using these, I will get a small commission from Altenew amongst others, directly, at ZERO extra cost to you. I really appreciate the support and every little helps, so thank you if you choose to support me like this.
