I’m very excited to announce that I am joining the Crafty Meraki design team! The lovely Bindu asked me to join their 1st Merakiversary in May, and I loved it so I was thrilled when she asked for more videos. It’s always thrilling to be asked for more work, it’s such a confirmation that what I do is well-received. (picture me doing a crazy dizzy emu dance here)
I have used the exclusive Crafty Meraki stamp set called Elegance, and I’ve water coloured it with Inkon3 Atelier ink re-inkers mixed with Liquid Pixie Dust. I used my MISTI to stamp it with Fadeout Ink. The Atelier inks are available from the Crafty Meraki shop, but the re-inkers are not, at this time.
After colouring the image in, I have used the coordinating Para-dies to cut it out. I have also used the dies to cut out one of the sentiments that I had heat embossed in Rich Gold embossing powder from WOW! Embossing. The embossing ink I use is also the one from WOW!
The card base is cut out of Storm Cloud coloured card stock from Lawn Fawn, and I have also splattered this with white gold water colour. This is from the Kuretake Starry Night palette, and is one of my absolute go-to for gold and metallics.
The floral image and the sentiment have been propped up with foam tape, and I didn’t trim off the bits sticking out because I couldn’t bring myself to do it. I like the wild look of it.

Back in June my friend Maria Willis, AKA CardBomb, and I hosted a YouTube video hop together, celebrating (a bit early) reaching 2.5K subscribers each. At the time of the hop, neither one of us had actually made it there, and we are still a bit short. We are also very late with the winner announcements. Apologies about that, life happened at a rapid pace for both of us and we couldn’t get it done in time.

For that video I only managed one card, but of course it was a sparkly-licious rainbow card! It was so fun to make and I love that extra pop of the sparkle on the rainbow. If you want to read all about it, you can find that BLOG POST HERE.
For this video I decided to use another mix of sponsors, to highlight them a bit too. They so generously offered prizes and the hop would definitely not have been the same without them.
The first card I made with a gorgeous stencil from Gina K Designs, called Mandala Burst. Stencils are one of my fave items to work with, they are so versatile and affordable! After spraying the stencils with Pixie Spray, I set those aside to cure for a few minutes (this is a critical step, do not skip this!) while I got out the rest of the stuff I wanted to use.
With the background panel done, I trimmed it down with a stitched rectangle die from Lawn Fawn. While I had my Diecutting machine out I cut out three ‘thinking of you’ out of white card stock and one out of black card stock. These I layered up with Nuvo Deluxe adhesive, and then on the top (black) layer I heat embossed Clear Gloss embossing powder to give it a nice shiny look. I did two layers of it, for that puffy sticker look. I love that, and it’s one of my fave ways to elevate word dies.
A sentiment from the Thinking Of You stamp set, the coordinating stamps to the word die, was stamped up in black ink on white card stock and trimmed down. This was addhed to the card, and the word die right underneath it. With that, the first card was done. Without a single sequin on it too!! Whaaaaa??
The second card was done with a rainbow stencil from Erin Lee Creative. This one was part of a kit, and isn’t available now, BUT she has a load of other super fun rainbow stencils and rainbow dies. You defintely want to check out her shop and support a small business!
Instead of ink blending, I used my beloved Paper Glazes from Picket Fence Studios. I absolutely LOVE these, not only are they fun to play with but they look fan-freaking-amazeballs-tastic too. That shimmer and shine is enough to mesmerize me, every time!
From left to right, I’ve used Agapatha Purple, Peony Pink, Daffodil Yellow, Lime Zinnia,Ocean Poppy and Cornflower Blue. I actually did this right after I had done the ink blending for the first card, and while the Paper Glaze was drying I worked on all the other bits and pieces for the first card. Multi tasking and all that, right?
I used the same stitched rectangle die on this panel and then it was simply finished off with a sweet sentiment in black ink. The one I chose is from a Gina K Design stamp set, called Watercolor Flowers. Super simple, but with a pop of colour and a sweet sentiment, you don’t need much else sometimes.

Today’s post is for a collaboration between Inkon3 and My Sweet Petunia, the company behind the MISTI. If you know me, you know I’m useless without my MISTI, I’m a forever fan, that’s for sure.
For the stems and leaves I used Goddess Green with a touch of Trinity Teal and Bee Sting Yellow. I’m not 100% happy with the result though, I should have just used the green and teal I think.
After letting this dry a little, I used an anti-static tool all over the panel before popping it into my MISTI. As I wanted to heat emboss the My Sweet Petunia stamp over it, I am so glad I had the MISTI on hand. NO waaaaaay I would have been able to get it right with a stamping block.
That gold goes so well with the colours, but then it does work with everything in my opinion. I love this gold, it’s so classy and elegant. Apparently there wasn’t enough gold on it already though, so I splattered some gold water colours, from the Gansai Tambi Starry Colors palette, all over it as well.
Sentiments wise I didn’t want to take away too much from the flowers, so I kept it simple with a sentiment from the Here For You set, stamped up in Sweet Petunia Pink, on a slim banner.

It is a NO STAMPING card, if you can believe it!! I don’t do those very often, no Siree. I started by using the die on five different pieces of coloured card stock. Because it’s a fall theme, I kept it to yellows, oranges and raspberry pink. I have used Lawn Fawn card stock in Sticky Note, Sunflower, Fake Tan, Canned Pumpkin and Raspberry.
With a bit of cutting and glueing, I layered these up, slightly smaller than the previous frame, so that they overlap and create a very dimensional panel.
To finish off the card, once I had glued the leaf frame to the shimmery background, I cut out the word ‘thanks’ from the Pumpkin Patch coordinating dies.
These letters are cut out of gold glitter card stock, and then adhered to the leaves, rather than the background itself. Doing it this way makes it look like the letters are floating and is a bit different from what I usually do.

Where are my fellow crazy dog people at? In this month’s Picket Fence Studio release there is a super cute puppy stamp called Stella Puppy.
It looks so much like my sweet Lab boy Hercules, who we lost back in 2016 after a very short, but ferocious health issue battle. Less than six weeks after that, we lost our remaining Lab, called Molly, in a tragic accident. The cards I got from friends after we lost them meant the world to me, because losing a fur baby, never mind two, is one of the most gut wrenching things you can ever go through.
I’ve made two card, doing my thing where they are similar but slightly different. On the first card I stamped the Stella Puppy up with my MISTI and Black Hybrid ink directly onto a card base of Neenah card stock. After setting the ink with my WOW! Embossing heat tool, I got to work with Copics. I don’t have a photo of the first one, but here is the second one I did.
I wanted to add a rainbow on the background but I don’t have a rainbow stencil *insert shocked gasps and wide-eyed looks here* I know, it’s shocking. So, what to do? Well, I made my own! First I cut out a mask and added over most of the doggie, then I used a small bowl to cut out a curved shape out of card stock. This I used as a stencil/mask and ink blended Ink On 3 Atelier Inks in Bee Sting Yellow, Goddess Green, Peacock Blue, My Jam Purple and Marilyn Red with Life Changing Blender Brushes.
My brushes are a little bit over-saturated and need a spa day, and I should have used a new mask for each colour, as they blended into each other BUT it did also give me an extra teal colour between green and blue. The last bit, in the top left corner, I should have skipped because I feel like it got too dark, but oh well.
On white card stock I stamped up some sentiments from the Stella Puppy set with Black Hybrid ink. These I trimmed down as much as I could and then added over some areas where I wasn’t happy the colouring and ink blending had overlapped.
The final touch was to add some Glossy Accents to the little nose and set it aside to dry.
On my second card, for which there is a video on my YouTube channel, I tried applying what I learnt from the first card. With some success and some more issues. Card making is never straightforward in my craft room, lol!
For this, I decided to stamp up the Stella Puppy on a separate piece of Copic friendly card stock, with my Mini MISTI with the Black Hybrid Ink, colour it in and then fussy cut it out. I used slightly different colour Copics on this one and I think the depth is better, than the first one, so that was good. You can see the difference in the photo above.
Second, I used a sheet of acetate to make my “stencil”, instead of card stock. The reasoning for this is that with acetate I can just wipe off the ink, and have less contamination. Good start. Less good execution. I used a, what I thought was, permanent marker to draw the shape of the curve of the rainbow. Well, it was less permanent and more smudgy than I realised, which led to a slightly dirty looking yellow bit. I trimmed off the part with the marker on it, and carried on.
I used the same Atelier Inks on this one, in the same order, after wiping my Life Changing Blender Brushes on kitchen towels. I also used a lighter hand with the inks.
With the negative part of the stencil/mask I was able to add more green to the background, without mixing in the blue. This is better explained in the video, but I didn’t add enough green or moved the stencil/mask too far when I did the blue, which left a gap. By covering up the blue with the negative bit, I was able to add the green without contaminating the blue. Pretty smart, huh?
There is another sweet pet stamp in the release called Your Friend Dear. I’ve done the same thing with this stamp: basically the same layout, but different looks.
This was the one I started with, and I actually stopped midway because I was not very happy with the colouring of the dog. I couldn’t make it work!
In order to get me out of that funk, I stamped it up again and tried another colour combination, this time with Warm Greys. This worked better and I finished off the card with a very colourful girl, and a simple sentiment from Levels Of Friendship. And the Glossy Accent again.
With this one being a success, and also my meh-ness about the first one having died down a little, I thought I’d give it another go. I’m very glad I did because I did actually manage to turn it around!
To make sure this one was different than the first one, with all that white space, I cut a mask out and placed over the image. Over this I used the Fancy Kaleidoscope stencil and Distress Oxide inks in Wild Honey, Worn Lipstick and a hint of Abandoned Coral. They created this gorgeous glow around the image and I love how it turned out!
The final touch for this card was to stamp up the sentiment that comes with Your Friend Dear, in Black Hybrid ink and with that, it was all done. The last two cards are not in it, but there is a video for one of the rainbow puppy cards on my YouTube channel.

Today I am back with LOTS of cards using the brand new Fancy Kaleidoscope stencil from Picket Fence Studios‘s June release. I do love a good stencil, and it’s possibly I went a tad overboard here but it just took off. I did ink blending, water colouring, ink smooshing and all sorts went on. Let’s get to it, shall we?
I did do a video too, which you can find over on my YouTube channel. I did forgot to film some of the bits, of course, like a total idiot. Oh well.
The clean up kitchen roll piece is gorgeous enough on it’s own.
While I was cleaning up after the colouring, I thought, why not try a few things? My first attempt was adding more colour to the stencil and dabbing water colour card stock on top. This turned out fab but there was still colour left on it so I dabbed another piece on it, and this one turned out soft and pretty too. There was STILL colour left so I kept going! I ended up with four pieces in total, as well as a smaller one.
With all these backgrounds done, it was time to make them into cards! The ink blended piece was quickly finished off with a sentiment from After The Storm stamped up with Black Hybrid Ink. I then went in with my Embossing Pad and added Glisten Changers embossing powder(this is a premixed powder with one part clear embossing powder to one part Glisten Changer powder) on top.
This one is one half of the big piece from the beginning. I cut it in half and made two cards out of them. One I adhered to a piece of black card stock, only slightly bigger than the background piece, to frame it. Also to coordinate with the Best word die, that’s also partly cut out of black card stock.
The other half was adhered directly to a white card base. In hindsight, I should have done the black backing card stock too. It just frames the background so well. The sentiments are both from BFF Girl Gang, stamped up with Black Hybrid Ink on white card stock and trimmed down to slim strips.
One final card was done on a background piece done with the Atelier re-inkers as water colours. Here I used the stencil and Paper Glaze in Snowdrop White. The sentiment is from Charles The Chameleon.
Well, that’s it from me but amazing how many different cards you can get out of just one stencil, right? This one, Fancy Kaleidoscope, has quickly jumped into my faves!

Ok, now I’m quickly show off my cards and I actually love them both!

I coloured the first one with Copics with a flicking technique, leaving lots of white space. The markers used are RV69, RV09, RV04, RV52, Y17, Y13 and Y11.
To stick to the celebration theme of this hop, I have used the Celebrate word diecut from MFT Stamps. Many, many times in fact. I cut it out of white card stock first, and then once out of black card stock. These I layered up with my beloved liquid glue from Lawn Fawn. Sadly, this fan-tabulous die-namic is retired! Waaaaah!!
I did two while I was on a roll, one is finished with the black card stock and one with the white. Both have been doubly heat-embossed with clear embossing powder to create a nice, shiny puffy sticker look.
I finished the card off with a generous helping of Pretty Pink Posh sequins, adhered with Glossy Accents. The ones I have used are from their Sparkling Clear Mix and I love them. The Man thinks I over-sequinise (which is totally a word now, even though he’s wrong).
With this card done, I decided I loved it so much that I made another one! With a bit of a twist, of course. As I had the Peony stamp in my MISTI still, it was quick work stamping up another card panel. On this one I added more colour to the petals and also filled in the space behind the flowers with Cool Grays.
This feels a lot more dramatic than the white one! I did add some white details with a white Posca pen to bring more white into the panel, as I felt it was perhaps a little bit too colourful.
To add even more white, I used the white Celebrate word die and that was just the thing for it. This one also has clear embossing powder on it, two layers, to create that shiny look. Which has not been captured very well in the photos, sadly.
This one got sequins added too. In almost the same spots as the same white one.
Next to each other they look quite different, despite having the exact same layout. Isn’t it amazing to see how things can change just by adding dark spaces or keeping white ones? I absolutely love this dreamy Botan Peony stamp and have gotten so much use out of it. If you like big flowers (and you can not lie) this one is definitely one to add to your stash.

Hi guys! Today’s post is showing off some dies from a brand new company called Everyday Crafting Co. You can find the shop on Etsy and there are four different dies to choose from or grab a discounted bundle.
In order to be totally transparent, I was sent these dies free of charge and have been paid for this blog post. However, I want to reassure everyone that I only ever use products that inspire me. If I try creating with things I feel ‘meh’ about, my mojo packs up and goes on vacation.
I am running low on birthday cards so I decided to use the Happy Birthday dies. First I tried the diecuts on different paper a few times, to get a feel for them, and see what kind of spacing I wanted. The ‘Happy’ and ‘Birthday’ are separate so you can use them however you like!
After playing around for a bit, this was the spacing that I was happiest with. I like that it leaves enough room for a sentiment banner or stamp set to finish off the Happy Birthday.
These I adhered to a couple of my rainbow backgrounds, that I made out of strips of Lawn Fawncoloured card stock. This is a fun way to add colour to a background without having to colour, ink blend or do anything but stick strips of card stock down. So easy and so fun, great to do while binge watching something!
I was a bit worried that the black one would be too harsh but I think it makes the background, and the letters, really pop! On this one I added lots of Colour Wheels (no longer available) and Candy Lane Canes embellishments from Trinity Stamps.
On another black one, I added Wink Of Stella to the background part. It didn’t look overly sparkly when I did it so I was a bit disappointed. At the time, it didn’t feel like it was worth the time invested in doing it. Which was at least a Modern Family episode, lol!
I needed have worried. Once that was totally dry and I took it out into the sunshine, I was nearly blinded!! It looks super cool!
The final card had the white diecut piece added to a rainbow background panel too, but this one is angled. I’m not sure which way I prefer, to be honest. Maybe the vertical ones… This white one also got a HUGE amount of sequins added to it, it felt like it needed it and it’s a birthday card after all.
One of the black Happy Birthday frame cards got the colourful one added to it. I achieved the look by layering the stamp with Atelier Inks from Ink On 3. From left to right I used Bee Sting Yellow, Marigold Orange, Marilyn Red, My Jam Purple, Peacock Blue and Goddess Green. It was easy to get this look with the help of a Mini MISTI and some PostIt tape. For the white card, I decided to layer up two black banners and add a white one on top. This helps create the illusion of a shadow, and brings the eye in.

Happy New Year and Happy Release Day from Picket Fence Studios! I’m currently in Phoenix, AZ, at Creativation and this month’s release is a little bit later than usual for this reason. The release is being introduced at Creativation so if you are here, come by the Picket Fence booth and say hi. I will also be doing the Make And Take in the Stamping Village, if you miss me in the Picket Fence or Ink On 3 booths.
This first release of 2020 is ginormous, as in GINORMOUS!! Over on my YouTube channel I will be showing off all the stuff and then make a couple of cards. As you do.
The cards I made for today’s post are made with the Barberton Daisy and A Bride’s Bouquet. Both are water coloured, but with different mediums, and came out total opposite.
Once that was set with the heat gun, it was then coloured in using InkOn3 Atelier Ink re-inkers and one ink pad. I don’t have the Twiggy Brown re-inker yet so I used the ink pad to get the brown needed for the string around the bouquet and for the cotton buds to get some shape. The main colours are Bee Sting Yellow, Goddess Green and Peacock Blue. The green and blue I added together to get more depth and detail to the greenery.
I tried going for a soft, elegant look but, in true Erica-style, managed to mess it up at the last minute by adding too much Marilyn Red and Marigold Orange to some of the flowers. I tried dabbing it off but it’s still a bit too colourful for what I had in mind. Oh well, I will just have to try again!
To soften the look and add a spring-time feel, I have also added a soft green shadow around the bouquet. The final bit of ‘colouring’ was to add a touch of Liquid Pixie Dust on the cotton buds. It’s a wedding bouquet after all, the name A Bride’s Bouquet makes any guessing work totally redundant, lol.
The second card, with the Barberton Daisy stamp, is wild and colourful! The idea was to make something that definitely doesn’t exist in nature and I’d say I’ve achieved it, lol!
I stamped up the Barberton Daisy with Black Hybrid Ink on Canson XL water colour paper. I used the MISTI to make sure I got a good solid imprint and then coloured in the image using Daniel Smith water colours.
When the Daisy was colourful enough, I decided to splatter it with dark grey paint. Just to really drive home the abstract look I was after for this one. It’s one of those creations I’m not sure about if I’m totally honest. The finished result is actually wilder than I pictured it! Crazy, right?
I heat embossed the sentiment ‘You are an absolutely positively amazing human being’ in Opaque Bright White embossing powder from WOW! Embossing on black Licorice card stock from Lawn Fawn. I trimmed the strip down and glued it down flat with the glue tube, also from Lawn Fawn. I love that stuff!

I’m an avid coffee drinker and love making coffee themed cards so this was a no-brainer for me. If you want to check out the full hop and prizes, make sure to start at WOW! Embossing blog.
For my card, I started by heat embossing a stamp set from Picket Fence Studios, aptly called Love of Coffee on Kraft card stock with Metallic Copper embossing powder. This copper is absolutely stunning and it captured all the small lines and images perfectly. Before stamping anything though, I used my anti-static tool all over the Kraft card stock.
I used my MISTI to make sure the image stamped really well with VersaMark ink, before sprinkling the embossing powder all over it.
The reason I used the Fadeout ink is because I planned on using white embossing powder over the image once it was coloured in. With black ink there is a risk of that showing through the white.
I coloured in the cup with Copics, and before the heat embossing was added, it really looked kind of terrible. Except for the ombré dots pattern I created on the cup itself.
After the white embossing powder was added, it looks totally fab and frothy! Very carefully, I added some more Copic colouring to the coffee foam to make it pop a bit more.
I also heat embossed a steam image in white in the left corner of this piece. The steam is from a Trinity Stamps set called Coffee With Character . I added a little bit of texture to the steam with a white coloured pencil.
I kept the colour scheme Kraft, teal and white so the card base is the same teal as the sentiment piece is. The heat embossed Love Of Coffee panel was trimmed down a little so that the teal would frame it. The last thing to do was to add the coffee cup and the card was done!
