Surprise Blog Hop to Celebrate Studio Katia!!

May is Studio Katia’s 7th Birthday and we couldn’t let it pass without thanking all of you and also Katia for her amazing products.
Like many around the world, the last few years haven’t been the greatest for Katia and the design team wanted to let her know how much she is loved and appreciated.

We are offering three $25 CAD gift certs as prizes for the hop and to be in with a chance of winning we just need you to comment on all the stops on the hop and share a little bit of love for Katia along the way.

It’s also Tuesday today, which is my normal posting day for the Studio Katia YouTube channel so I made a VIDEO!

I started out by heat embossing the gorgeous Japanese Peony stamp on water colour card stock, with Opaque Bright White Super Fine embossing powder. Before I stamped the image, I did prep my paper with the Cottontail Embossing Tool from Rabbit Hole Designs, and then I stamped the image with WOW! Embossing ink.

Once this was set with my heat tool, and I had let it cool down, I spritzed the paper very generously with water and then added LOTS of colour with Karin Markers. If you check out the video, you can see how quick and easy it is.

After allowing that to dry, I added about two million little dots on top, with each Karin marker that was in that area. So yellow dots on top of the yellow part, green dots on the green, and so fort.

To finish off the card I added some Iridescent Clear Crystals, with the help of the Embellishment Wand and the glue tube. I also stamped up one of the sentiments from the Japanese Peony stamp set on a skinny banner, and added that to the card.
