Hi and welcome to my first post of 2022!
It’s only appropriate that it’s to celebrate the Pinkfresh January release! I have had so much fun with this release, and gone for ALL! THE! FOILING!!

Today is a blog hop, so you might have come from the incredible Emily Midgett and the next stop on the hop is the fabulous Heather Hoffman. You can find the entire lineup via the InLinkz list RIGHT HERE, and possibly at the end of the blog post if I can get the technology to work, lol!

I also made a video for some of these cards, if you want to check that out over on my YouTube channel. Keep an eye out for the above thumbnail.

I’m going to dive right into my cards, as I made quite a few… I was on a roll, with the foiling again. The Geo Blocks hot foil plate has firmly placed itself at the top of the list of faves from this release.

My first card is so outside of my comfort zone, as it has so much white on it, but the foiling helps with that ‘this card is naked’ feeling. The sentiment is also white and gold foiled, this is from the brand new Fancy Script Words Hot Foil set. It also has a coordinating diecut set, for that lovely perfectly cut out look.
I also used the Curvy Foliage, cut out of white card stock and vellum, to add some texture to the card.
On my next card I used the Geo Blocks hot foil plate and the coordinating layering stencils, to add some pastel colours to the pattern.

This one is also finished off with a Fancy Script Word hot foil sentiment, as well as a few flowers from the Beautiful Blooms set, and some Metallic Pearls in Gold.

The flowers are stamped up with the Beautiful Blooms stamp set, heat embossed with Opaque Bright White embossing powder from WOW! Embossing. The colour is added with the coordinating layering stencils, and finally they are cut out with the coordinating diecut.

My third card is the same as the previous one, Geo Blocks hot foil plate and coordinating layering stencils, only this time I used darker colours for a move vivid look! This is then trimmed down and adhered to a white card base.

To add the sentiment, I used the cute little envelope diecut from the Floral Envelope set and cut that out of dark grey linen textured card stock. This is popped up with some foam tape, to add some dimension and layers.
As I wanted to coordinate with the colourful background I used Rainbow foil on the Fancy Script Word hot foil. Speaking of colours, the ones I used are Sunshine, Apricot, Bubble Gum, Candy Violet, Seaside, Mermaid Cove and Grassy Knoll. I also matched up Jewels in similar colours to add lots of bling to this one!

On my last card I ink blended some of the lighter inks to create a soft, pastel look over the Geo Blocks hot foiling. The foil on this one is Matte Gold, which is fabulous.

I used the envelope die again, only this time I cut it out of vellum. While my diecutting machine was out, I also cut out a HI from Heather’s Upper Case Alpha and another sentiment from the Fancy Script Word hot foil set.
To frame the envelope and the sentiment I cut out a Stitched Scallop Rectable die out of matte gold mirror card stock, and propped this up with some foam tape. A few Metallic Pearls in Gold was the last finishing touch.

The hot foil plate gives fab results on its own and the coordinating layering stencils add colours effortlessly. The fun thing about the hot foil plates is that you can use them as embossing folders too! I hope you have enjoyed these cards, and gotten some inspiration here with me. Don’t forget to hop along the rest of the blog hop as there are prizes and giveaway!
Pinkfresh is giving away the entire release on their blog post and their YouTube post, so don’t forget to comment there! There are also TEN $25 gift vouchers up for grabs along the blog hop, all you have to do is leave a comment to be in with a chance to win, so the more you comment, the bigger chance to win!
