Concord & 9th Color Cardstock and Ink Release!!

Hi guys!

Today’s post is coming to you from a very, very, VERY excited Erica! After many delays and covid-related bumps in the road, the inks and coloured card stock from Concord & 9th are finally about to drop!! They kindly sent me all the inks and card stock to play with and boy, did I play?? *excited squeal and crazy dancing*

I have swatched, swatched and swatched some more! I absolutely love having swatches on hand for everything so that I can easily pick and choose what colours will work the best on the project at hand. Whether it be card stock, inks, markers, water colours, etc swatches are the way to go! There is a video too, over on my Youtube channel.

On these I cut out letters, using the Tall Type Alphabet Dies as well as Tall Type Number Dies, to spell Concord & 9th. As if they planned it, there is a colour of card stock for each letter, spelling it out twice. Magic!

I cut each letter out twice in every colour, to then add to both white and black card stock to see what the contrast is like. This is a simple way of gaging what actually works without cutting up your precious card stock only to realise that it doesn’t look as good as you thought it would.

I have also cut out hexagons, using the Hexagon Label Dies from the Hey Bestie bundle, both a big one and the small one, out of each colour for a small swatch ring. On the small hexagon, I also stamped up the heart from Hey Bestie stamp set in the matching ink pad, for tone on tone stamping. (Hey Bestie will be available once the release is live)

Using the same heart, I also stamped up each ink colour on a strip of white card stock. This wasn’t enough for me, for some weird reason, so I also used ‘STAMP’ from the Crafty Turnabout and did the same thing. Eh, better too many than not enough, right??

For another type of coloured card stock swatch I cut thin strips of each card stock and glued them to a piece of white card stock. On these I had used a bottle tag die on to create a hole for easy hanging up. I typed out the names of each colour and also stamped each with the coordinating ink for a tone on tone swatch.

On one of the card stock swatches I glued a stamped out ‘Concord and Ninth’ piece. Again, why not? These letters are from the Bold And Brushy Uppercase stamp set. You can get this in a Bold And Brushy bundle with the lowercase Bold And Brushy set too.

I ended up with so many swatches and so much happiness! I can’t say enough good things about these products and hope you are as excited about them as I am! If you are loving these as much as I do, and want them all for yourself, you can grab the Ink Pad And Coloured Cardstock Bundle with everything, 22 ink pads and 24 packs of 12 sheets card stock, in it, it’s a HUGE bundle. If you prefer the smaller Ink Cubes and Cardstock Bundle, that’s available too. In this bundle you get two sheets of every colour and the inks in handy mini cubes, as well as a placon storage box.

The inks also come in a Ink Pad Bundle, Ink Cube Bundle , as well as individual ink pads/cubes or specific colour bundles (you can get a full sized ink pad and cardstock pack in every colour) and Ink Refill Bundle as well as individual refillers. For easy peasy organising, you can get ready made labels for your ink pads/cubes too. Another stroke of genius! They come in Full sized Ink Pad Labels and Ink Cube Labels.

That’s it from me for today, unless you decide to hop on over and check out the YouTube video. I have listed the products used for these swatches in the post with affiliate links. If you shop using these links, I get a small commission directly from Concord & 9th, at NO extra cost to you whatsoever! Anything I make from these links go to fund my crafty shenanigans so thank you if you choose to support me this way!

Lots of love and happy crafting from Erica
