Hello, hello, my fellow coffee and tea lovers!
Today’s blog post is for the 2020 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and I’m naturally all about the coffee! Give me a C! Give me an O! Give me an F! And another F! TWO E’s!! Well, you get the idea, lol. (This paragraph is not sponsored by coffee, funnily enough)
I have sort of used a card I made for the same hop last year as inspiration. For that one I used some fun stamps from Trinity Stamps, Coffee With Character. I also used Lawn Fawn Narwhal card stock and Stitched Windy Backdrop cover plate for the background, Stitched Alphabet die-namics from MFT Stamps to spell out Coffee and Copics to colour in the images.
For this card, I have done a Copic coloured background directly onto a card base using an array of lush colours!
On this I then heat embossed a background stamp to create a fun pattern. The stamp is Love Of Coffee from Picket Fence Studios and the embossing powder is my beloved Opaque Bright White, which I stamped up with the Embossing pad and the help of my MISTI. Before I did all that, I used my anti-static tool on the panel very generously. As the paper was not bone-dry after all that Copic colouring, I did it as a precaution to avoid stray bits of embossing powder.
The take-away coffee cups, which I like to think are re-useable, are from Honey Bee Stamps and is called Coffee Break. I used the coordinating Coffee Break Honey Cuts to cut the images out after I had coloured them in.
The letters I cut out with the same Stitched Alphabet Die-namics from MFT Stamps as on the first card. The colour scheme of these is somewhat close to the background done with Copics. I love the linen textured card stock look, and use that stuff quite often.
The letters I adhered to a strip of white card stock and then this was adhered to the card, along with the coffee cups.
