Now, with all that out of the way, let’s get to my card!

I have recently moved house, to a brand new country too. From chilly Poland to warm Spain. It was a rather epic move and it’s taken it out of me quite a bit. I also had a really bad cold the week before the move and it hung on to me for a long time, and the whole 4 day road trip down I was very poorly. It was a bit of a pity party on wheels to be honest. It was an amazing trip though. If you missed my Insta stories, I have put them in a Epic Road Trip highlight so you can see for yourself.

To really pile on the ordeal, I am now having some back issues as well. Probably from carrying stuff up and down three flights of stairs. This house is spread out over FOUR floors….! If I don’t have buns of steel by Christmas, I won’t be happy, lol!

My craft room is still an absolute bomb site and there are boxes and stuff EVERYWHERE. I haven’t found all my stuff yet, and amongst the missing items are both my MISTI’s!!! I’m quite distraught and nearly panic ordered a new one as soon as I realised because I love my MISTI’s. There is still no sign of either of them.

Nevertheless, I persisted and made do. I stamped up the deer from the brand new Oh Deer set with Juicy ink so I could heat emboss it. At first I couldn’t find the heat gun either and nearly had a nervous breakdown! Eventually I found it and used a WOW! Embossing powder called Perissa.

The deer itself is coloured in with TwiMarkers from Arteza. I scribbled a little on a acrylic block and with a water colour brush, I coloured in the image. I’m working on putting together a YouTube video for this card too, and will post the link in this post once it’s done.

The TwiMarkers are very similar to Zig Markers but with a less hefty price tag.

With the coordinating diecut I cut it out, once coloured in and dry. This I set aside whilst working on the background. I have used three of the brand new ink colours from Catherine Pooler, Orange Peel, Pink Champagne and Sangria, as well as Tiara. These I ink blended on a panel with the Life Changing Blender Brushes from Picket Fence Studios. To add some shimmer, I also splattered Red Gold water colour from Gansai Tambi’s Starry Color palette.

To finish off the card, I cut out the words ‘You’re A Deer Friend’ which is part of the coordinating diecut from the Oh Deer set. I used a lovely linen textured card stock and adhered these to the card, along with the deer, using Lawn Fawn glue tube adhesive. Once the whole shebang was on a card base, it was done!

I have used compensated affiliate links in this post. What that means is I get a small commission from the company directly, if you use these links to shop, but it doesn’t cost you anything extra at all. Thank you if you choose to support me and my crafting shenanigans by using these links. I really appreciate it and do not take it for granted!

Now it’s time to hop along and the next stop is my incredibly talented friend Ilda!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Lots of love and happy crafting from Erica

Just beautiful! Love the colors you used for the blended background! The deer image is so pretty, and beautifully colored too!
