Trinity Stamps and WOW! Embossing collaboration blog hop!

Hi guys!

Today’s card is a collaboration between Trinity Stamps and WOW! Embossing powder. It has a coffee theme, of course. Duh, lol!

One of my favourite colours from WOW! is Metallic Copper. It’s a gorgeous, rich colour and it changes when you look at it in the light. I love it!

This is a pretty simple but fun card, as it looks very plain from one angle and then it comes to life from another.

The background is done with Copics, E70, E71 and E77, by drawing big lines horizontally across a card panel, cut out of Neenah Classic Crest 110lb card stock. I blended in the colours a little bit but wanted each one to show through still.

I popped this panel into my MISTI, because I can’t do anything without my MISTI these days, and used all the hand lettered sentiment from Caffeinated Sentiments. This is one of my favourite Trinity Stamp sets, along with Coffee with Character. Which I also used for my popped up coffee pot and cup.

But I’m getting ahead of myself here. I lined up all the sentiments in three rows on the top half of the panel and when I was happy with the alignment, closed the lid of the MISTI to pick them up. The panel itself got a generous dusting of anti-static powder and then I inked up the stamps with VersaMark ink. After stamping this, I repositioned the panel, re-inked the stamps and stamped a second time.

Once all the Caffeinated Sentiments words were stamped on, I sprinkled my embossing powder, Copper, all over it and shook off the excess before setting it with my heat gun. That was the background done!

Next was the coffee pot and the cup. These I stamped on another piece of Neenah card stock with Copic friendly ink, from Ink On 3 in Blackout Detail Ink, and coloured in using red markers. I accented them both with a gold pen from Faber-Castell.

The assembly of the card was pretty quick after all my bits and pieces were done. First off, I adhered the background panel to a white card base. Then the coffee pot and the cup were added with foam tape to raise them up. The finishing touch were some sequins in bronze added with Glossy Accents.

That’s it from me for today but don’t forget to check out the entire hop, full list at the end of this post, for more amazing projects and inspiration. If you are in a winning mood, make sure to hop along the entire hop and leave comments on each post for the most chances to win!

I’m not much of a coffee drinker (at least not hot coffee anyway) but this card actually made me want a cup lol. I love the copper embossing, it always adds such a cool look and it’s perfect on your card! Thanks for sharing this and for the inspiration (and the coffee break :)). (

I can see why the Metallic Copper is one of your favorite WOW colors – it’s gorgeous! The embossed sentiments look amazing on your background. The little coffee cup and coffee pot finish this card off beautifully!
